  "Description": "Functions are designed to facilitate access to and utility\nwith large scale, publicly available environmental data in R.\nThe package contains functions for downloading raw data files\nfrom web URLs (download_data()), processing the raw data files\ninto clean spatial objects (process_covariates()), and\nextracting values from the spatial data objects at point and\npolygon locations (calculate_covariates()). These functions\ncall a series of source-specific functions which are tailored\nto each data sources/datasets particular URL structure, data\nformat, and spatial/temporal resolution.
